The Town team had one of their hardest game of the season on Saturday, when Dauntsey were the visitors in a Calne and District League match. For the first 30 minutes there was little between the sides, but eventually Ogbourne headed in to give the Town the lead.

The second half found the Town the better team, but there were only three minutes to go when Chequers beat Edwards, who had played a smart game in goal, and incidentally saved his side from a heavier defeat. Waite, in the home goal, also did all that was required of him.

Tomorrow the Town's first eleven will entertain Bushton United in a Calne and District Langue match, the following have been selected: C. R. Waite; A. S. Beale and H. Clarke; J. Norris, E. Tall and A. Compton; W. Ogbourne, L.W. Chequers, M. Titcombe, H. Morris, and W. Sandell.
