The Town suffered their second defeat of the season on Saturday, when Bushton United were the visitors in the second round of the Calne and District Knock Out Cup Competition. In the first half nether side was able to gain any material advantage. Ten minutes after the interval the visitors were awarded a penalty for hands but the home goalkeeper brought off a splendid save. Roles gave the Town the lead from a centre by Sandell, and this was immediately followed by Lawson (the ex-Garrards player) who equalised while the goalkeeper was injured. Bushton, who were slightly the stronger team, obtained the winning goal through Lawson from a centre by Titcombe.
