A brilliant performance led to a well deserved win as Bassett over powered the opposition. A slightly nervous start saw a tight first five minutes but the Liden back four found it increasingly difficult to cope with the pace of Bassett's attack and a well worked move was converted by Brad. Bassett relaxed and some fast, free flowing football led to Karl scoring two goals in as many minutes. Brad was unlucky not to add to the total after being flagged offside at the end of a stunning move and brilliant finish.

The players were asked to start the second half with ten minutes of concentrated hard work and they duly obliged. A well worked cross after a corner found Scott still forward and he met it with a good volley. Bassett then dominated the game, Brad's pace led to his second and Karl completed his hatrick a minute later. Bassett never let up and continued to push. Aiden was rewarded with a goal making up for an earlier effort that was given offside. With five minutes to go Gavin slotted passed the keeper to make the total eight.

A fantastic team effort, from the back five that looked completely solid to the dominating midfield to the attack that never stopped running.
