A good game of football to watch but unfortunately, another defeat for Wootton Bassett.

Fairford had some tall, strong players who adopted a physical approach at times during the game and consequently won too many of the challenges throughout the game. Despite this Bassett created several good scoring opportunities, particulary on the break, but failed to capitalise.

Bassett took the lead following an own caused by the forwards pressurising the Fairford defence. However, the lead lasted only 5 minutes. Fairford took the lead towards the end of the first half but this lead last only 2 minutes as Karl Roberts scored from a long range effort.

Once Fairford took the lead, Bassett tried but couldn't get the equaliser despite creating some good chances.
