Good team performance in win over Wroughton

Bassett kicked off straight into their area. Joe collected the ball and kicked it into the main game. Then for a while it kept going to and fro between the two teams. Then suddenly Wroughton had chances and shots but Joe saved them all. Wroughton began passing very well then Bassett got the ball and was fouled. It was Bassett′s free kick and Scott took it. He passed it to Sam and Sam hit it just wide. From then Bassett began pressuring more and more and Bassett got more and more shots. Then Wroughton began pressuring like Bassett had earlier on in the game. Then the tackles began coming in hard. Eventually Wroughton got the first corner of the game. The ball went back up to the other side and Callum laid Tyler off and he just missed. Then the game became like tennis losing the ball and then regaining it. Wroughton had many more shots and superstar Joe saved them all. Regaining control the defence passed the ball to Sam and he hit the side netting. Bassett′s first corner was cleared scruffily by Wroughton. Regained by Callum who chips the goalie and scores. 1 –nil to Bassett. Not much happened for the rest of the first half.

Wroughton kicked off and play resumed just as it had finished in the first half. Bassett won a corner but they shot wide and Wroughton attacked their shot also went wide. Bassett were attacking hard but no goals came from it. Wroughton attacked and Joe saved once again. The defence cleared the goal line to help the forwards who allowed Ben to shoot at goal. It went just wide. Good attacking and defending from both sides. Bassett had two more shots at goal and the goalie saved them. This half on the game was very end to end with the ball passing from one gaolie to the other. That′s how this game ended. The defence of Scott, Oliver and Jack were very good in first half. In the second half Josh replaced Jack but they were still very good. The forwards in the first half Sam, Tyler and Callum made good use of the space. This enabled them to score. Second half Ben replaced Tyler and had some good shots at goal. The wind played a very big part of this game. Final score 1 – nil to Bassett.

Good effort by everyone and good teamwork.
