Greenmeadow just edge it in close contest

A disappointing result today, but again the effort from all of the players couldn't have been any better in what was a fairly evenly contested game. Greenmeadow are a good strong, well organised team and on the day they were probably just worthy of the win.

The game started with a lot of pressure from Bassett and both Oliver and Josh had early chances. The rest of the half produced some good end to end football with Max keeping the scores level with some good shot stopping. In the second half Bassett continued to press but were nearly caught out early on with Mitchell making a good headed clearance off the line. Bassett then took the lead with a goal from Josh only to see Greenmeadow equalize not long after. At this point the game seemed to turn and the pressure was all from Greenmeadow. With a few minutes to go they scored the decisive goal to make the final score 1-2.

Max was unlucky to concede twice today as he played very well in goal in the absence of Reuben, Martin made some important interceptions, Mitchell and Tom both did well in midfield with Josh and Oliver linking together well up front, but it was the ever consistent Scott who was Man of the Match today with another excellent performance.
