No rustiness with Bassett U7's in front of goal after break

Having not played a league match for a few weeks, we were hoping to carry on where we left off. As soon as we kicked off it was apparent that this would be the case. A good passing move in the first minute nearly resulted in a goal, then a few minutes later Oliver Lowkis played a great ball through to Josh Bolton who finished well. Midway through the first half Scott Lees won the ball and passed to Josh who set up Oliver for number two. The third was started by Max Passingham, his strong tackle fell to Mitchell Terry, who played Josh in for his second. Good defending from Eddie Geerah and Scott prevented Cricklade from pulling one back just before half time. At the break we brought on Keir Miles and Tom Topping for Josh and Mitchell. Cricklade came out fighting and Reuban Southan made a couple of excellent saves, at this point we needed to get back into the game and a good run by Max set Keir up with a well taken goal. Josh then got his third with his first touch after coming back on and scored again from a goalkeepers clearance. Cricklade pulled one back to make the final score 6-1 to Bassett. Another good performance, Bassett starting to play the game how it should be played, playing as a team with some quality passing and solid tackling (and all this at the age of six !!! ).
