Bolton hat-trick sets up Bassett U7's win

After a few weeks of missing chances in front of goal, today we definitely had our shooting boots back on.

The game started fairly evenly with both teams having equal possession for the first five minutes but, as the game went on we started to find our feet. Half way through the first half we scored our first goal, Oliver Lowkis the scorer in what was his best game so far. His touch and awareness of other players was outstanding.

At this point Highworth got themselves back into the game with an equaliser just before half time.

After the restart Bassett stepped up their game with Joshua Bolton scoring to make it 2-1. Niall Alstowe then scored Bassett's third with Josh Bolton hitting two more to complete his hat-trick.

Today's game was very pleasing, the passing was good and again the tackling was strong. Max Passingham's kicks from goal were landing well into the oppositions half with Oliver, Niall and Josh always looking to capitalise on this. Jordan Canepari and Martin Bates defended well with Mitchell Terry, Eddie Geerah and Scott Lees holding things together in midfield.
