The 2-1 scoreline was not really a true reflection of today's match as Bassett probably had 90% of the possession. Bassett started well and went in front before half time with a goal from Nial Alstowe. The team totally dominated the game after this with some very solid tackling from Scott Lees and Mitchell Terry.

In the second half Bassett changed things around looking for more goals and within a few minutes of the restart Scott Lees scored his first goal of the season. Stratton then pulled one back direct from a free kick but Bassett kept going right up to the final whistle to gain another well earned win. Tom Topping, Martin Bates, Jordan Canepari and Joshua Bolton all worked hard in the second half with Keir Miles doing well playing in goal for the first time.
