Miles man of the match performance in another U7 win

Bassett were by far the better of the two teams in this match even though we had to change to playing one up front due to it being a six a side game and not the seven a side that we have become used to.

It was all Bassett right from the kick off and the early pressure soon told. Scott and Keir both had good chances saved before Max won the ball and passed to Oliver who buried his shot to make it 1-0. Some good solid defending from Martin and Scott prevented S &W from getting back into it and Bassett then extended the lead when Scott took a corner and Oliver was again on hand to finish well.

In the second half Bassett kicked uphill but this didn't stop us from controlling the game. Josh and Mitchell were brought on and were soon in the thick of the action with Josh scoring Bassett's third after good work from Martin and Keir. The Fourth goal was scored by Scott with a well struck free kick.

All the players had a good game today and adapted well to the change of formation with Keir probably just edging the Man of the Match with a tireless display.
