Bowen’s on fire to win Fantasy League!

Monday 25th May 2026

While Jarrod Bowen had a final gameday to forget as his West Ham United side were relegated, namesake Spencer had plenty to celebrate as he was crowned the 2025-26 RWBTFC Fantasy Football League champion!

Entering the final round of games with a healthy lead, Bowen's Frimping Pong outfit sealed the deal with an impressive 79 points to take his season tally to 2,412.

That left former Under 18s star Bowen (who also featured for Bassett's Men's First Team) 40 points clear of runner-up Vitor Oliveira and his vitigna's team side(2,372), with Tomas Warren's Chief Tuggers (2,338) snatching third from Robert Shepherd's Canine Capers (2,335).

Jacob Hayden's Wirtz Nightmare and Matt Simpson's Simmo FC were not far behind, tying for fifth on 2,331 points.

Bowen becomes the seventh winner of the league in the last seven years.

Last year's champions Finlay Cranswick-Coates finished around the middle of the pack in 122nd place with 2024-25 champion Ben Tomes faring better by placing 11th.

2022-23 champion Joe Mitchell came a respectable 9th in the league - and made sure his name was once more etched onto the honours board as his Above Average Joes beat Arthur Kunz's MLKS Włodawianka 59-40 in the final of the cup competition. That result followed a narrow semi final victory for Mitchell's men over reigning cup holder Steven Astin's ABCDE FC.

Huge thanks go to all 247 entrants who took part in this year's Fantasy League.

The Fantasy League is always great fun and, importantly, remains free to enter for all - whether that be players (current and former), coaches, supporters, parents, volunteers, etc.

The league will be up and running again next season for its 17th edition – and we look forward to seeing even more participants.
