Royal Wootton Bassett Town Men's First Team play the second of three consecutive home Hellenic League Premier Division fixtures when Droitwich Spa are the visitors to the Swindon Mercedes Stadium (Gerard Buxton Sports Ground) on Saturday (3pm kick off).

Playoff finalists in their debut campaign in the Hellenic Premier last season, Droitwich have made a more modest start to the new campaign and - like Bassett - are looking to climb the table.

Despite the sides finishing at opposite ends of the table, both of last season's meetings between the teams were closely fought affairs with Droitwich edging the meeting in Worcestershire 2-1 before Bassett came back from 2-0 down to earn a point in the return fixture in Wiltshire.

Admission on Saturday is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.

Sunday then sees the Women's First Team hit the road as they visit the south coast to take on Poole Town in the South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division.

The contest is the first meeting of the teams since the 2023-24 campaign when Bassett and Poole were locked in a race for the Division One Eastern title.

Poole eventually prevailed by just two points - but not before Bassett had beaten them 2-1 in Dorset, an outcome James Lally's side will be hoping to replicate.

It's a game Bassett will be looking to take something from too, with Poole having finished tenth and sixth in the last two years.
