In a repeat of the the trophy game in which Wanborough won earlier in the season on panalties Wanborough came to Rylands way for the league game. With the boys looking to put right the result from the cup game the boys started the game full of confidence and were quickly into the passing style that has become the teams style of play. And the passing paided of early into the first quarter when Alec turned inside his marker to score. Wanborough came back into the game with a quick reply of their own beating Tom low down. Strong midfield play from Charlie and pass put Ryder clear to score the 2nd before Charlie himself set of on a run twisting inside out the defence and slotting home the 3rd. Ryder added the boys 4th goal in the second quarter. Good play from Captain for the game Harry on the wing with a couple of good runs and crosses kept the presure on the away team. with the 3rd quarter under way Matthew fine run set the boys away and a pass from Herbie found Harry in space to add the 5th. To there credit Wanborough never stopped and were rewarded with 2 late goals of their own to make the last couple of minutes nervous for the boys. At the final whistle the boys run out 5-3 winners in what was one of the teams best performances to date.
