The first league game for the under 8's was an enjoyable 3-3 game with Bassett taking the lead through a goal from Alec Gawthropp before 2 goals from the home team took Fairford into a half time lead. In the second half a goal apiece for Ryder Mifsud & Harry Lockett on the half volley put Bassett back in front only for the home team to pull the game back to all level in the last quarter with their 3rd goal coming from a corner. Both teams had chances to win the game in the final few minutes but a draw was a fair result.
