After last weeks defeat the boy went away to play against a team mate from last season in Jimmy's South Cerney team. The boys started well and took the lead through Alec who finished off from a Ryder corner. Only a couple of fine saves from Tom saw the boys in 1-0 at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter a strong run and pass from Charlie put Alec clear to put the boys 2-0 up. Ryder latched on to a poor goal kick to fire home the 3rd from distance. Into the second half and the boys were full of confidence and winning tackles all over the park with Charlie leading the way in his best performance of the season to date, the home keeper was made to make save after save as the boys passing football saw chances fall to Ryder, Charlie and a couple of solo runs from Harry all having shots saved. Into the 3rd quarter and more strong midfield play from Charlie and Caden saw Caden win a tackle deep in his own half before beating his man the run clear and finish low into the corner for the boys fourth. In the last quarter South Cerney had a few chances only for Alec to be more than a match for them all the scoring was finished off when Harry picked the ball up and ran at the defence beating two players before scoring a goal that all his hard work had deserved. The boys ran out 5-0s winner in the last game before the Christmas break to maintain their unbeaten league start to the season. Merry Christmas all.
