For the first home game of the seasonwhich saw Highworth come to rylands way. Bassett started the gamne well with a good effort from caden going just wide before Ryder at rhe back post finished of a good team goal. Bassett then peppered the Highworth goal and only some very good goalkeeping kept the score to 1-0 at half time. After the break Bassett doubled the lead from a well taken corner from Alec was touched home from close range, A solo goal by Alec and a left foot finish by Harry put Bassett in full control Alec then added his 2nd and 3rd goals of the game to put Bassett 6-0 up. Highworth never gave up and only some strong defending from Charlie and Matthew saw the boys keep there first clean sheet of the season.
