Sundays game against Lydiard Millicent turned out to be a physical encouner for the Bassett boys to deal with. Lydiard started the game well and created a couple of good chances. Bassett grow into the game and started to dominate the game with there passing style of play. Alec put the boys into the led when he won the ball and rounded the Lydiard defender before slotting home from close range. Caden doubled the lead when his long range effort under pressure went into the roof of the net. With the half time whistle going the boys went in 2-0 up. The 3rd quarter was all Bassett as Alec 3 more gaols the pick a long range shot that went in of the underside of the bar, Charlie also scored for the 2nd week running with a well taken goal. Lydiard were now being over run in midfield with Tom, Matthew playing well in the engine room working hard for the team, Ryder went on a solo run beating 3 players only to see his effort roll just wide of the far post. At the start of the final quarter Bassett were now leading 6-0 Alec added to more goals to his tally for the season with his 5th and 6th goals of the game. Lydiard did get 3 late goals back as Bassett started to look a bit tired after all the early hard work. At the final whisle the boys run out 8-3 winners to keep there unbeaten run going into the half term break.
