Sunday 1st March 2009 - Pewsey Vale (H)

The home side started bright, but were caught napping with a ball over the top, which the away side capitalised on. This early goal caught us on the hop. We rolled up our sleeves, and began to dominate. It was only the woodwork and some fine saves that eluded us the much deserved equaliser.

So into the second half, and the home side began patiently and remained focused. A lovely through ball was met and decisively finished off by Karl Roberts. WBTFC were now in control, and more pressure on the edge of the box led to a text book set piece. A typical long throw-in from Toby Edgington was flicked on by A. Cressey into the path of Ryan Campbell who acrobatically scored with an aerial over-head kick. This was a blow to the away side, but never gave up. Our tales now up, we advanced forwarded in search of another goal. This was not long, when Karl Roberts was put through with a one on one with the keeper. He kept his composure, and confidently slotted in our third, and his second. A fantastic display of skill and determination
