Sunday 23rd November 2008 - Pewsey Vale (A)

Wootton Bassett started very bright, and began passing the ball really well. However they were caught unexpectedly behind the back 4 and the home side were suddenly 1- nil ahead. The response was instant and decisive, and a lovely low driven ball was delivered into the box by Aiden Cressey. The home side were unable to clear and it ricocheted into their goal. WBTFC began to settle, and their passing began to take effect by taking the lead. The home side were not giving up, and yet again capitalised on some sloppy defending, making it all square again at 2-2. The away side rolled up their sleeves again, and edged themselves into the lead once again. But in similar fashion to their previous goals, the home side equalise once more before half-time 3-3.

Some tactical changes were made for the second half, and the away side took instant advantage, by making it 4-3. The pace of the game was increased, and gaps began to appear. This allowed the away side to score a further 2 more goals. And came out eventual and well deserved winners.
