The Town first eleven entertained Calne and Harris's Reserves on Saturday in the Calne & District Knock-Out Competition and the visitors won by 3 goals to 1. Calne scored twice in the first 30 minutes through Toogood and R. Lawrence, but the home team reduced the arrears through Morris. There was no further scoring until about 10 minutes after the interval, when a mistake by the home goalkeeper led to Toogood netting. The Town did a lot of pressing, but many efforts just missed the mark, and the best shots found the Calne custodian quite safe. Tomorrow the Town receive a visit from Honeystreet in a Wilts Junior Cup tie and the following team will be doing duty: A. N. Other; W. Hunt and H. Clark, W. Fry, J. Bowles and A Compton: A. S. Beale, W. Ogbourne, C. Roles, H. Morris and W. Sandell. Reserves - E. Flewelling, A. W. Clarke, G. Clifford and E. Fry.
