Wootton Bassett Town A kept the pressure on Ferndale Rodbourne in the race for runners-up in the Under 18 Division. Two first half goals from corners did the damage and both times it was centre half Dan Strange who did the business. Firstly he headed powerfully directly into the net from Phil Tearles corner to break the deadlock and then again got on the end of a Tearle corner to head goalwards but Craig Kelly got a touch to make sure and claimed the goal as Bassett went two up. Phil Tearle then had a golden opportunity to make it 3-0 when clean through on goal but an excellent save by the keeper denied the goal. At the start of the second half a fine run from James Baker saw him through on goal but his shot from a narrow angl came back off the bar. Substitute Calum Dunn made sure of the points with a powerful left foot shot to make it 3-0 to Bassett.
