Wootton Bassett Town A remain top of the table but the final score certainly flattered Bassett as they trailed 2-0 with half an hour to go. Brunel had taken the lead on the stroke of hour time. Up until then it had been a very tight and competitive game. The visitors extended their lead from the penalty spot and looked comfortable to go away with all three points. However, Bassett got themselves back into the game on the hour mark when top scorer Phil Tearle slid the ball past Max Scholefield in the Brunel goal.

From then on it became the Phil Tearle show as he hit four more to completely turn the game around. Best goal of the game was Tearle's third when he fired an unstoppable volley from the edge of the box to Bassett in front for the first time in the game. The final scoreline was very harsh on a good Brunel side who had out fought the home side for over an hour of the match.
