Wootton Bassett Town A were made to work very hard for all three points against Wootton Bassett Town B. It was the B side who took the lead as early as the 3rd minute when A keeper Richard Hanley was impeded by his own defenders when trying to claim the ball and a B stiker headed over him into the net. The B side then hit the bar through Craig Kelly. The B side were certainly up for the match and did not let the A side play their normal passing game. It was only on the stroke of half time that the A side got back on level terms when George Drewitt equalised following a goalmouth scramble. In the second period the A side came more into it but just as the game looked as though it would end in a draw substitute Calum Dunn managed to get clear of the B team defence and fired the winner into the back of the net. Heartbreaking for the B side when a draw would have been the fair result.
