Scrappy semi-final sees Bassett crash out of the cup

It will be a Westbrook v Stratton Juniors final after the two sides both won by three goal margins to make it to the County Ground. The Westbrook v Wootton Bassett tie was a typical scrappy semi-final with little flowing football played. Westbrook went 1-0 up playing down the slope when a defensive slip up allowed Liam Fitzgerald to fire an unstoppable shot past Jonny Aitkenhead in the Wootton Bassett goal. It remained 1-0 at the break. Matt Hobbs then struck twice in the second half to give the final score a flattering look to the home side who now make their third cup final appearance in the leagues two years having won both the Under 14 League and Subsidiary Cups last season.
