Cup game sees best performance of the season from U15's

The final side to make it through to the last four, Wootton Bassett Town, also scored nine in their best performance of the season. It was a tense affair for the first twenty minutes before Stuart Smedley scored for Wootton Bassett to break the deadlock. Adam Leighfield then put the home side back on level terms when he fired a superb free-kick from twenty five yards into the top corner of the net. Phil Tearle put the visitors back in front after an excellent defence splitting pass from Tom Marchment. Callum Snooks then made it 3-1 after the Eastville keeper failed to hold a Dean Wason cross. After the break Bassett took control with the central midfield pair of Josh Dimond and Aaron Stevens instrumental in a lot of the play and scored five more times through Callum Snooks twice, to give him his second hat-trick in consecutive weeks against Eastville, Dean Wason, Phil Tearle and Tom Marchment. Credit to Eastville who kept going despite the score and scored a second through Nick Boza before Bassett hit their ninth, a rare goal from William McCurrach with a powerful shot. There was still time for Eastville to get a consolation third goal, Josh Paddon firing under keeper Ashley Warren.
