The U14s played Ferndale Rodbourne on Saturday, and the game turned out goalless, though Bassett came close to finding the back of the net several times through Mia Hughes, Sienna Matthews and Skye Harrison, with the ball just skimming the crossbar.
The pitch was tough and bobbly, which didn't help in the scramble to score the winner.
However, Bassett dominated for the majority of the game and deserved to win. Better luck next week, where they will take on Durrington, who are currently top of the table.
