Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 14 Girls had a tough test against FC Abbey Meads Purple on Saturday, facing them for the fourth time this season, this time away.
This match would be crucial in a bid to stay top of the table.
Bassett started well and were on top of the home side, creating waves of attack.
They eventually took the lead through Mia Hughes, who lobbed the ball over the keeper to put the Bassett ahead.
Unfortunately, after Bassett failed to clear a throw in, Abbey Meads reacted quickly and brought the score to level.
However, the Bassett weren't deterred and fought back, resulting in a flurry of goals before half time.
Poppy Notton-Barrett was linking up brilliantly with Mia. This paid off when Poppy secured her first goal and gave Bassett the lead.
After that, the away side were much more comfortable on the ball and dominated the game.
Another strong setup - this time involving Sienna Matthews and Poppy - resulted in Mia scoring a second. Bassett were flying!
The goals kept coming, as Sienna Matthews drove down the wing and delivered a beautiful cross into the box for Ava Hall to slot home.
Poppy sealed off the game with another goal that put Bassett 5-1 up going into the break.
The second half was goalless, but Bassett piled relentless pressure onto Abbey Meads and prevented the home side from scoring.
The match finished 5-1 to the Blues, with Poppy picking up player of the match for her strength when holding up the ball and two goals.
