Meanwhile, the Under 14s had their final league game of the season against Trowbridge Wanderers Lionesses, where they looked for a win that would improve their chances of finishing top in North Wilts League Division One.
Bassett started the match a little slow but soon grew into the game. The girls took an early lead when Mia Hughes broke through the defence and slotted the ball home to make the score 1-0.
The Blues came close to scoring multiple times throughout the half, with Mia hitting the post and Ava Hall striking the crossbar.
Ava eventually got a well-deserved goal after she dribbled past three Trowbridge players and fired the ball top corner. Bassett were 2-0 up going into half time.
The girls continued to dominate in the second half, and soon enough, a flurry of goals came in.
Eryn Turnball set up the third, playing in Ava who finished with her left foot for her second goal of the game.
After this, the floodgates opened and the Blues gained momentum.
Bassett were looking dangerous in attack. The ball fell to Eryn in front of goal, who's initial shot was saved, but Ava was on hand to slot the ball into the open net, claiming her hat trick.
Ava was on fire and soon scored a fourth. Alisa Allan crossed the ball into the box, and Ava finished first time to bring the score to 5-0. She took her goal well and was composed on the ball.
Some good play from Lily and Mia led to Alisa firing the ball into the bottom corner of the goal, giving Bassett a 6-0 lead!
More good work found Poppy in space, who finished and sealed off a brilliant 7-0 win for the Blues.
This was a strong finish to the league and a reasonably quiet morning for 'keeper Chloe and the backline.
Supporters Player of the Match was awarded to Ava for a strong performance and an incredible 4 goals. Coaches Player of the Match went to Alisa, who had a great game in attack and linked up well with her teammates.
The next game for the Under 14s is the North Wilts League Cup final against Marlborough Youth Raiders on Sunday 17 May. Good luck girls!
