Three late goals condemned Royal Wootton Bassett Town to a 4-0 home defeat against promotion chasing Torquay United as Bassett reached the halfway mark of their South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division campaign without a win.

Bassett fell behind early in the opening period when Connie Pengelly got on the end of an Emma Hunt free kick to give Torquay the lead.

Although on top, the visitors were unable to extend their advantage further until the final twenty minutes of the game.

But Esme Kilburn-Thompson's quick fire hat trick settled any nerves Torquay may have been feeling, while also removing any hopes Bassett may have had of snatching a surprise point.
