01 Feb 2015 - Dursley Town (H)
Wootton Bassett Town Ladies continued their fine form at home to Dursley Town, extending their unbeaten run to 4 games, as they picked up another point in an entertaining 0-0 draw at Ballards Ash.
Both sides had chances to open the scoring in the first half of this fiercely contested game, but it was Bassett who looked the more likely to score, finding themselves through on goal only to be stopped in their tracks by the Dursley keeper.
The second half saw much of the same with both teams pushing for a goal. Bassett's player of match Rachel Buchanan came close on two occasions, but saw the ball drift just wide of the post for both. Dursley's midfielders won the battle in the middle of pitch, which left Bassett frustrated, but they couldn't find a way through the strong Bassett back-line, which was well organised by captain Laura Jefferies.
A draw was a fair result for both teams.
