Stratton youth kicked off, Bassett began attacking hard. Sam had a shot at goal, just wide, another over cross bar. Good passing between Ben ,Josh (W) & Tyler who all at times had shots at goal ,either wide or over the cross bar thought it was going to be one of those games when the ball was not going to go in the net. Then a break came when the defence of Scott, Jack & Regan who passed to Sam who crossed to Fraser who shot at goal, a Stratton defender reflected the shot into own goal. Bassett attempts a few more shots at goal from Ben, Tyler & Fraser which the Stratton goalie saved. Stratton on the attack good clearance from Regan, to Ben to Sam with Josh (W) on to have a shot. No goal yet! Josh (H) attacks in defence to pass ball to Sam, Fraser who crosses to Aaron shoots wide of left post. Again we seem to play volleyball with good headers from the strikers. Sam gets it down to shoot But a Stratton player clears it. Stratton seemed to be struggling with attempts at goal by Tyler, Sam, Fraser & Josh (W). Stratton held on then good passing from Fraser to Josh (W) to Tyler who scores. We are off! There was good play from the defence to the strikers. Stratton makes a break Josh (H) clears Stratton gets the first corner of the game, not many of them in this game .The defenders clear the ball. Bassett on the attack again few more shots at goal. There were times when Bassett were off side. Stratton on attack now they shoot Joe saves. Good passing from the back Aaron runs down the wing passes to Tyler who goes one on one with goalie & scores. Jack off Jake on, Stratton makes a run the defenders clear, with Jake passing long ball to Tyler which Tyler couldn't reach. Sam off Callum (M) on. Again some good passing between boys, Jake, Tyler & Ben are on for a good chance Ben fouled. Which he takes quick Stratton clear, Bassett's first corner of the game Tyler takes good cross Callum (M) couldn't quite make the connection. Half time 3-0 to Bassett.

Second half

Bassett kick off Callum (M) picks up an injury, Sam on, Fraser kicks ball hard Stratton defend well. Now they are on the attack Jake gains control of ball passes to Sam who passes back to Jake who passes to Ben another foul on him by pushing. Free kick Tyler takes it and scores. 4-0 Stratton kicks off and breaks the defenders to have a shot which Joe saves. Bassett are on the attack now with more shots at goal from Ben, Fraser & Aarons shot just over cross bar. Scott off Callum (G) on. More attacking from Bassett shots coming fast from Aaron, Fraser & Regan. You feel another goal has to come from Bassett and it does from Aaron who shoots hits the cross bar and into net 5 -0 Good support from Ben and Sam. A Stratton player injured . Bassett still attacking Callum (M) shoots hits side net. More shots from Callum & Jake just wide. Regan off Josh (H) on Good working at front Fraser shoots scores 6-0. Stratton try to run Jack headers ball to Aaron to Fraser who scores again 7-0 on a roll now . Stratton attacks now Josh (H) clears to Sam to Callum (M) their goalie saves. Bassett regain ball Aaron shoots 8-0 good effort from forwards. Fraser off Tyler on Good defending by Jake. Ben off Scott on, Stratton on attack Callum (G) clears the ball away. Regan on Josh (W) off. We are still attacking hard and fast Callum to Callum shoots goalie saves the shot. Jake has a shot at goal hits the cross bar Aaron receives the ball shoots 9-0. Stratton clears the ball to our defence Jack heads the ball to Scott who chips ball over the goalie to score 10-0 . Stratton on attack now good covering from Josh (H) and Callum (G) and Jake. A throw in from Scott to Aaron to Regan who scores, Final score 11-0 to Bassett . Well done boys.
