This week we were at home in the league against Highworth Town and it proved to be a very tough game.

Highworth started the game well and put us on the back foot having to defend deep in our own half. They played some good football and the movement of their front two certainly gave our defence lots to think about. We struggled to defend against this and they took the lead after about five minutes of the first half. The team tried hard but Highworth were a physically bigger and stronger team and increased their lead to two goals by half time.

We started the second half quite positively but found it hard to break down their defence. They were first to virtually every ball and much stronger in most of the tackles. Our midfield looked very tired in the second half, which is very unusual for us. Highworth took full advantage of this and scored another three goals to gain a comfortable victory.

This was not one of our better performances but we did play against a very good side. Our team will have learnt a lot from today's game!
