This week we were at home in the league against Ferndale Rodbourne B and once again the team performed very well in windy conditions.

Initially the game was quite even but after the first five minutes we got into our stride. We passed the ball well and created quite a few chances. The pressure eventually paid off when Alex Dinsmore made a good run down the right wing and crossed to Josh Coventry who finished well to give us the lead. From this point we took control of the game and Alex burst through to finish powerfully and give us a two goal lead at half time.

The second half started with us continuing to play some very attractive football and from this Alex scored our third goal. With around 10 minutes remaining we made a substitution and this change unsettled our defence. This gave Rodbourne the chance to pull a goal back and allowed them back into the game. Their confidence increased and they scored a second goal. Our team responded well and battled until the final whistle unlucky not to score a fourth goal near the finish.
