Dominant showing against Blunsdon Colts

Playing with a changed formation the under 11's produced some of there best football of the season. From the start they were dominant and many chances were left untaken. In the end Wootton Bassett were 2-0 up at the end of the first half due to a goal each for James Tasker and Joel Swann.

The second half started as the first ended and Jamie Wakefield in goal was left with very little to do as Alfie Passingham swept up any challenge which managed to get through the back line. There wasn't any part the pitch that Wootton Bassett didn't control and the opposition couldn't offer any resistance. Three substitutes were made and the new blood immediately made an impact when Martyn Plaistow, who had only been on the pitch for a few minutes, scored the first of his hat trick. With Blunsdon running out of ideas and lacking in midfield, Wootton Bassett pushed forward to increase their score through Sam Jackson, Tasker and Swann. Credit must go to all the boys who played.
