Bath started strongly after adjusting to the slightly smaller pitch and were able to fizz and ball in, which Ruby just about deals with. Aoife's defence cover saw her run the length of the pitch and her deflected shot is just wide of the target. Daisy them decided to get into the mix as Aoife fuzzes an effort across and Daisy's connection loops over past the post.

Bath are awarded a corner and their dangerous delivery isn't dealt with and the winger is able to zip a ball across the box and the ruby is able to watch the ball past her post out for a goal kick. Bassett are then forced to deal with another corner which is whipped in at some pace and strikes the post and Bassett are able to clear their lines.

Sienna was the next Bassett player to have an opportunity and she saw her effort saved by the keeper. And it wasn't long before Bassett found themselves 1-0 down and a long goal kick forward sees the Bath striker nip in ahead of Ruby and finishes calmly.

Bassett were then under more pressure as Ruby was forced to block a shot with her feet and the resulting corner evades her and bounces off the Bath player and into the net for 2-0.

Bassett continued to press on for their first goal as a Daisy delivery evades everyone and can't be tapped in at the back post with Daisy going on a further run from clearance but her shot was straight at the keeper.

HT 0-2

Bath continued to put Bassett under pressure from Another great corner as it is tapped wide of post. A lucky let off for Bass! The number 9 who was deadly all morning was able to pick up a loose ball and goes toe to toe with Holly and is able to turn and shoot for 3-0.

Unfortunately for Bassett their energy levels were beginning to run low and were susceptible of ball watching for the 4th goal as good skill from the striker sees her whip in a ball and Bath had two back stick ready to poke home.

Bassett then fail to deal with a throw and their midfielder picks up the ball as Bass fail to mark and girls is able to slot home. Sadly as Bass became tired mistakes crept in causing a final three goals which slightly flatters the visitors considering the effort and display Bassett showed but against a strong side in Bath and we were left to rue our mistakes.

Heartbreak for Bassett but a tremendous 45 mins against a strong side who will give as good as they get in the final.
