Slow Start leaves Bassett battling back

Bassett took on Bradford at home while the early school holidays left a few missing. Bassett found themselves one nil down early on as Bradfords best player in a dangerous corner which bounced off of Parkin and went in as an own goal. Again took Bassett too long to get going as they were stationary statues for most of the first 15 mins.

The second half Bassett began to come alive with much more action up top with their first effort coming from a shot from Alisa into the side netting. Bradford's number 4 had been restricted space to run in the second half however was still a threat at throw ins and corners as she was the main person involved in them taking them all. A better end to the first half for Bassett.

A better start to the second half saw Bassett dominate from chances from Sienna, Poppy and Daisy who did all but hit the back of the net. Chances that we may rue as shots were straight at the keeper because another dangerous corner was initially dealt with by Parkin however the first to react was a Bradford striker who was able to poke the ball in before the onrushing defender.

Disappointing result for Bassett considering they battled well but unfortunately were unable to score that decisive goal to get them back into the game after a poor start.
