A ferocious first half sees Bassett take all three points in Amesbury.

A lightening start from Bassett saw Bassett 4-0 up at half time, which in honest could of easily been ten was it not for the Amesbury keeper.

It was a quick start for Bassett that saw Daisy get her first of the morning after some great one twos between Mia, Poppy and Daisy saw the latter finish.

Bassett continued their quick start as Amesbury struggled to get out the starting blocks. As the Bassett midfield stayed strong battling for every ball as small lapse in concentration saw the Amesbury winger in on goal, her initial effort was stopped on the line by Elise who's clearance fell to the striker who scuffed wide. Daisy was then provider as she set Sienna up however her shot was saved by the keeper. Sienna moments later then got a stroke of luck as the ball ricocheted into her path and her shot went just wide.

Mia then decided to get in on the action as she found some space and her strike is saved by the keeper who spills and sadly Sienna just can't reach the rebound. It wasn't long before Bassett scored our second as Mia's trickery found Daisy in the box, who's shot was too powerful for the keeper who sadly spills and it's Poppy who reacts first to fire home for two.

It's wasn't long after that Bassett got their third which was created by Daisy as she hassled the defender who gave up possession and her strike finds the back of the net for three.

Amesbury's biggest threat was their winger who again got in ahead of our back three and her shot went just wide. And Bassett were at it again as Poppy's positive drive through the back line sees her finish in the bottom corner for her second. And to top off a great performance in the first half Mia got her first of the game as long goal kick from Ruby isn't dealt with by the Amesbury back line and Mia wins the ball back and her quick feet gives her the angle to fire into the net for 5-0.

A somewhat quiet second half goal wise but Bassett still managed to create several opportunities. First Mia's strike sees the keeper save and Amesbury's had a good chance but their shot was wide of the target. A good combination of passes from Mia and Sienna, sees her cross find Eryn who narrowly misses on the half volley.

It wasn't long until Sienna got in on the act as the keepers poor kick out sees Sienna pounce on the defender and Knick it away to finish in the bottom for 6!

Amesbury had their first bit of luck when their striker evades the challenge of Amelia and Elsie and is able to sneak the ball past an on rushing Ruby for their first goal of the game.

Another spell of a Bassett attack sees Poppy drive forward and draw a foul on the edge of the box. Her free kick is saved and fumbled by keeper who then has to react to avoid it going over the line for her hat trick. The Amesbury winger manages to stride through again and look set the score but Ruby made sure she was only conceding one today as she made a great save for Bassett to clear.

It was a final 5 mins of attack for Bassett as they pressed for another and again some great play from Daisy and Poppy finds Sienna and her strike is again saved low by the keeper. The resulting corner sees Sienna whip in a lovely ball for the keeper to save and Amesbury survive and clear away only to find Sienna again who whips in a lovely ball that somehow whips across the goal line and just evades Poppy at the back stick.

A strong and gutsy performance where every Bassett player worked hard for the win and the ball. Game finished 6-1
