Bassett good run ends as Bremhill win for first time in the league

A couple of impressive wins against Wroughton and Marlborough Town had lifted Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development into fourth place in the table, but they came down with a bump this week becoming the first side to lose to Bremhill in the league this season and dropping a place in the table as a consequence. With Bremhill having already won 4-2 at the Gerard Buxton ground this season in the cup, the pitch at Royal Wootton Bassett certainly seems to suit their passing style as they did a double of sorts over Bassett and will no doubt tonight be celebrating that first win of the season. On a couple of occasions this season they have conceded late on to deny themselves the three points but made no mistake this week. A long-range effort from Jack Pearson and two strikes from substitute Edidiong Essien did the damage for the visitors, Tom Miller with the consolation goal for Royal Wootton Bassett.
