1ST Half

We appeared to be the stronger team in the first part of the first half. There was some good shouting from Tom Lawrence to try and get the team going. We had some incredibly strong team work and passing going on, which wasn't being awarded with a goal, there were several near misses from Dec, Tom & Nav. Tom was working incredibly hard in midfield and appeared to be all over the pitch and was like a terrier each time his opponent got the ball, he hassled and hassled, it was brilliant to watch. Suddenly Centurion were 2 – 0 up – where did that come from – not entirely sure. There were a lot of chances for the team but no-one managed to make that connection to score the goal we needed. Again later in this half we had another good piece of play and again we were unlucky not to have been awarded a goal.

2ND Half

After the team half time chat, Bassett came out with their heads high – we've come back from worse scores. Again we demonstrated excellent passing & play but no goal, then suddenly after an excellent piece of play – Tom got his first goal – fab!! There was some good tackling from both Mollie & Liam – Mollie really chasing down her opponent to stop him from getting to the goal. Again a couple of unlucky misses for Dec & Mikey. Our heads dropped and Centurion took advantage and took the game to 3-1. The team took their eye off the ball and were starting to look tired Centurion took advantage of this and scored again. Tom then lifted the game by scoring again but Centurion took advantage of the tiredness again and fired home one last goal.
