18 Mar 2012 - Marlborough Youth (A)

Super first half by the boys today - they all played really well and deserved their half time lead. We struk with a simple move - good tackle by Nick, pass to Daniel S who put Joe through. Joe did well to get past the keeper and tuck the ball in with his left foot.

With no substitutes it was always going to be difficult and it proved that way in the 2nd half. We tired and the mistakes crept in. They equalised then took the lead quickly. Another couple of goals and it was all over for us at 4:1.

A little unlucky today - all the boys played well so it was difficult to name a man of the match. Sam in goal was superb first hald and both Alex and Harry had good games. I think we'll award it to Aaron though for showing good fight throughout.
