11 Sep 2011 - Marlborough Youth (H)

The difficult start to the season continued with a tough match against Marlborough. Some poor defending allowed the visitors to take an early 5:0 lead and our heads had dropped.

Daniel Carey picked us up a bit though with a neat finish to take us into the break 5:1 down. It was looking bleak but to the lads credit, they rally pulled together and got a much deserved 2nd when Joe stole the ball from a defender to make it 5:2.

Nick then added a third with a good finish, followed by another for Marlborough. Joe then continued his excellent goal scoring form by shooting high into the net after being put through by Harry. Marlborough added a 7th at the end.

Some good performences again with Alex playing well at the back and Hadley puting in a great 2nd half. Man of the match this week goes to Daniel for a fine all round display and some good captain's words to get us back into the game.
