With Bassett coming into this game with 2 losses and 1 draw in the past 3 games the lads had something to prove to themselves. We travelled to Hungerford on Mothers Day and with the clocks going forward it caught out some of the parents with the early start.

Bassett started off brightly and continued to dominate the game from start to finish, the score line of 13 nil should have been more if not for the linesman putting his flag up. Every time we proceeded into there goal area, some was justified other times was laughable.

Nick(1), Josh(2), Jack(4), Danny, Tom(2) and Ryan(3) all had shots but all went wide of the goal and eventually the defence was beaten when Nick hit a hard low shot which the keeper saved and parried across the goal and Ryan came in running and at a very tight angle sliced the ball home to make it 1 nil to Bassett.

Over the 2 half′s Bassett started to look for each other and started to play the ball around the pitch and with that came goals and more goals. Jacks work around the pitch with his running and his timed distribution of the ball done him well also chipping in with 4 goals to his credit and also the contribution he made to the team was fantastic today. The whole team worked well today with Ryan(3) and Neil (1) who at times are the Subs proving they are important members of the team as well it was good to see the team smiling and scoring. Fraser to be fair touched the ball a couple of times deserves a mention for his efforts to remain focused.
