Bassett Continued there 100% record with an unconvincing 5 nil win in the North wilts Quarter Finals which now see them pit there skills against a high flying Cricklade in the semi finals of this cup.

The coaches had a good training session with the boys on Friday and had a good chat with them before the game today, but for some reason after 10 mins of the game 2 nil up the team of which we spoke to in length did not listen to us, on how we wanted them to play in todays game on giving advice on conditions and style of play, lost there way a little and there positions.

The team although never in danger of losing this clash were at times put under a lot of pressure from the visitors, the pressure was our own doing in not keeping our shape playing to our strengths which is good passing and attacking football.

The positives from this game was 5 goals and another win, at times the football was good when we did pass the ball around, with Ellis having a good game today along with Nick. Jack for his efforts today scored 2 goals and one of them a great up and under shot /clearance ,the ball bounced in front of the keeper on the edge of his area and went into an open net, to make the game safe.
