Bassett maintain 100% winning record in league in unconvincing style

Todays game was away to Ashton Keynes who find themselves struggling at the moment, with a 5-0 nil win to us today, keeps the team on the same points having played the same games as Greenmeadow.

Over the past 2 games since Christmas ,we returned from a long break and has it shown , the boys at the moment are not listening to us in training and on football days are not doing as we asked, we will address this over the next few weeks in training.

At times the game was going down one side and no matter what ,the play has to be switched from side to side ,which when we did this we opened up the home teams defence.

I have not much to say on this games performance except the new player Matthew had a good debut and with Grant in defence and Ellis playing in goal keeping a clean sheet Bassett continued to march on slowly gaining another unconvincing 3 points.

As a team we need to header more, talk more, and play as a team, we as a team need to raise our standard if we are to maintain our grip in this league. If it sounds hard to the team it is ,they need to pick themselves up and start being counted.

But on a positive note we have played 7 in the league and won all of them and are also through to the quarter finals in the NWDFL Cup and into the Quarters in the County Cup as well.
