Absolute whitewash from start to finish. Prior to the game, Shipton's Manager was confident his team would provide a pre-season challenge for us, and although they had not competed in a League last season, had won all of their games last year, including one win of 31 - I!

After 5 minutes into the game, we were 3 - 0 up and in total control. We did play excellent football, with the team passing and moving into space well. Obviously there was huge areas of the pitch unoccupied by the opposition, as three/four Shipton s players constantly chased the same ball. Halfway through the first half, and 5 - 0 up (after swapping our attack and defence) we then decided to take one of our players off to balance things up.

The second half was a non-event with our players all scrambling to get on the score sheet. Nothing taken from this game, apart from the embarrassment of playing a vastly inferior team. Both of our goalkeepers should have brought along their Game Boys to keep themselves amused!
