The Under 13s had a tough game at home to Bath City and suffered an unfortunate 2-1 defeat.

The game was nail-bitingly close, but the Blues missed out on 3 points due to a few too many late nights trick-or-treating, affecting their performance.

The girls battled hard in the first half and managed to keep the score level despite losing a few players to injury and unavailability.

The second half was more eventful, with both teams determined to score the winer.

Unfortunately, Bath took the lead, driving down the middle and placing the ball into the bottom corner.

The home side showed great resilience in response to this, attacking down the other end and earning themselves a penalty. Up stepped Ella Oates to take and she slotted the ball calmly away to bring the score level at 1-1.

The game looked as if it might turn out to be a draw, but a Bath cross was unluckily deflected in at the near post, sealing the win for the away side.

Player of the match went to Chloe Guppy who, as always, didn't stop working hard the entire game and showed great energy in multiple different positions. Well done, Chloe!

All the girls worked hard and gave it their all, and will use this to bounce back stronger
