The last time Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development and Ludgershall Sports met the teams shared eight goals in a thrilling Fountains Trophies Cup match before Ludgershall prevailed on penalties.

There were to be eight goals again as the teams completed their series of Wiltshire League Premier Division fixtures for the season - but this time all were for Bassett as Mark Simpkins' side recorded a comprehensive victory over the Sports.

Bassett led 5-0 at the break thanks to two goals from both Nat Bell and Flynn Walters, with Bell taking his total for the season up to 18, plus one from Mani Mesas.

Bassett then added three further goals after the break without conceding at the other end as they ran out 8-0 winners. On target for the home side in the second half were Harry Walters, Afonso Ferreira and Alex Stephenson.
