Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development suffered a second narrow defeat in a row, losing 3-2 away at Melksham Town Reserves.
Melksham were in search of their first win of the season and it started well for Justin Flowers' side as they led 3-1 at the break thanks to two goals from Harvey Wood and one from Sam Dowell, with Max Spackman in reply for the visitors.
The second half saw Bassett pushing to get back in the game. However, while they were able to add a second through Kevin Lartey, the equaliser proved elusive and Mark Simpkins' team lost by a single goal margin for the second time in the space of four days.
