Under 18s into cup final four

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 18s advanced to the last four of the Wiltshire League Floodlit Division Cup with a 2-1 quarter final win against Bishops Cannings.

Flynn Walters' first half brace proved decisive, with Szymon Raczek's second half goal for the visitors not enough.

Bassett edged in front when a defensive error allowed Walters to pounce and put his side 1-0 to the good.

The same player then extended his side's lead. Picking up the ball midway in the opponents' half, Walters strode forward to the edge of the box and then fired in a low shot that beat the Bishops Cannings keeper and nestled in the bottom left hand side of the net.

Bishops Cannings had chances of their own in the first half but found themselves two goals behind at the break.

They came out in the second half looking to get back in the game and were finally rewarded with a goal 15 minutes from time, a ball over the top finding Szyman Raczek who neatly tucked under the keeper for 2-1.

The visitors pushed for an equaliser, but Bassett's defence held out to ensure progress and the team will now visit Calne Town in the semi finals.
