It was the meeting of two Development sides at the Flying Monk Ground where Royal Wootton Bassett Town made the short journey along the B4042 looking to continue their good league form of late against a Malmesbury Victoria side who also were in good form having won three of their last four games. Last season each side had won their respective home fixtures comfortably but it was expected to much closer this time round and so it proved. In an entertaining contest, despite chances for both sides, there were no goals in the first half, but veteran Steve Shaw put Royal Wootton Bassett Town in front on 55 minutes. George Stone equalised for the home side ten minutes later but neither side could find the winner, and both had to settle for a point a piece.
